David Baker
David Baker is the President and CEO of Baker Business & Tax Solutions. He has dedicated his entire adult life to building a career in construction project management, ultimately overseeing large-scale projects across multiple divisions. Throughout his time in construction, David frequently encountered a recurring issue: accountants often failed to clearly communicate the financial health of his businesses or provide strategies to better manage his bottom line and optimize all the taxation scenarios.
In 2001, David seized the opportunity to further his education and pursue a degree in accounting. After years of dedicated effort, he earned his degree in 2005. He began his accounting career at a small local firm, where he honed his skills and deepened his understanding of client needs. By 2015, David decided to establish his own firm, driven by a passion for offering accounting services in a way that clients could understand and apply.
When he founded Baker Business & Tax Solutions, David’s mission was clear: to provide small and mid-sized businesses with fairly priced, highly personalized accounting services. He ensures that every client leaves the office with a complete understanding of their financial standing and the strategies discussed. Under David’s leadership, Baker Business & Tax Solutions is committed to helping clients achieve clarity, confidence, and success in their financial journeys.
Kim Baker
Kim Baker is the co-founder of Baker Business & Tax Solutions and has been an integral part of the firm since its inception in June 2015. As the head of office administration and marketing initiatives, Kim ensures the firm operates smoothly and effectively while maintaining strong client relationships. Her dedication to excellence and attention to detail help create a welcoming and organized environment for both staff and clients.
Before joining Baker Business & Tax Solutions, Kim worked as an Account Manager for a marketing services company, where she gained valuable knowledge and experience in client communications, project coordination, and marketing strategy. She holds a degree in marketing, which she leverages to enhance Baker Business & Tax Solutions’ outreach and client engagement efforts.
Kim’s passion for providing exceptional service and her commitment to the firm’s mission of personalized, client-focused accounting solutions make her an indispensable part of the team. Her contributions ensure that clients receive not only expert financial advice but also a seamless and positive experience from start to finish.
Ashley Thomas
Ashley Thomas, David and Kim Baker’s daughter, has been a valued member of Baker Business & Tax Solutions since its inception in June 2015. With a background in accounting dating back to 2005, Ashley brings a wealth of expertise in Financial Statement Management, Bookkeeping, Tax Preparation, and Payroll Processing. Her attention to detail and commitment to excellence help ensure that clients receive accurate, timely, and insightful financial services.
Ashley’s experience and proficiency in managing complex financial data make her an essential part of the Baker Business & Tax Solutions team. She is dedicated to helping clients understand their financial position and providing the support they need to make informed decisions. Eric Baker
Eric Baker, David and Kim Baker’s son, joined the Baker Business & Tax Solutions team in April 2020. Eric focuses primarily on payroll processing and tax preparation, ensuring that clients receive efficient and accurate services in these critical areas. His strong background in operations management, project management, finance, and purchasing gives him a well-rounded perspective that benefits the firm and its clients.
Before joining Baker Business & Tax Solutions, Eric built a successful career in manufacturing and distribution operations management, where he developed skills in process optimization, strategic planning, and financial oversight. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisville in 2005, providing him with a solid educational foundation in business and finance.
Eric is Kaizen Certified and holds a Six Sigma Green Belt, demonstrating his expertise in continuous improvement methodologies and process efficiency. These advanced certifications enhance his ability to streamline operations and deliver high-quality services to Baker Business & Tax Solutions clients.
